Rodz Girlz, actually he’s just beginning. If no one else does, American’s, especially blacks thrive off redemptive stories. He’s still selling out concerts across the country, and He’s proving himself to want to do better.
That’s just like when kids play together then they fight, if the parents/grown folks don’t get involved, they are friends again the next day as if nothing happened. I’m in no way saying he was right, but he is getting right. But no, Chris is a long way from being done and I shall be copping his CD on the 8th. Even if I never hear a lyric off of it, I’m buying it, because I too believe in Redemption!

I wish Chris brown nothing but, luck in the future and I hope he has learned from his mistakes and is taking the proper steps to making sure that they NEVER happen again. He is a very talented guy and I want him to be successful. Unlike so many so-called “artists” THIS ONE actually has talent. Lets not let this talented kid slip through the cracks based on ONE MISTAKE he made. Chris keep ya head up bump the haterz and keep it pushing. Your fans love you! Remember that.

Was it just me or did he imply that she was lying and was doing it for tv??! What the hell!!! He told all y’all hatin ass bitches..well not really but yea he did! That was a good interveiw but he said nobody knows what happened and we never will so I don’t kno what the hell rihanna talkin bout.. That interveiw made me laugh for some reason especially when he was talkin bout haters.. Well she did put his ass on blast so yea….he was right on sum things tho. Best interveiw yet. I just wished he would have answered that one question which was if he was the aggresor or was the relationship aggresive he kno he wanted to answer it..mmhhmm he kno what he want to say too bad he won’t or can’t so to speak. When Big boi asked Chris Brown was that the first time him and Rihanna became physical with eachother, Ofcourse Chris Brown said “no”, then Big Boi said, “So ya’ll go from 0 to 60 in just one night” then Chris Brown paused for a minute, and then he was like “yea”, But it took him a minute to respond to that question,(I’m suspicious now) Hmm.. Why the sudden pause Chris? But anyways, Just b/c Chris Brown chose not to talk about the incident, doesn’t mean that Rihanna wasn’t going to, and yea she does have the right to speak and tell her side, just like he has the right to tell his side, but HE CHOSE not to talk about it, And Rihanna CHOSE TO talk about it, so don’t be mad at her. And When Big Boi asked Chris Brown was he inlove with Rihanna at one point (not now) but before, and Chris Brown said “Yea”, I wonder if he really meant it.

I wish Chris and Rihanna the best. But I truly believe that Chris doesn’t fully understand what he did to Rihanna. I also can’t stand how he’s painting Rihanna as an abuser PLEASE I don’t but it, not at all. I wish he would grow up and realize that Rihanna’s interview helped thousands of women deal with their own domestic violence relationships. The fact that he can’t empathize with the woman who he once loved and beat to hospitalization makes me question his sincerity. I wish him all the best but his maturity needs an upgrade and fast. Lastly, if you’re not going to just come out and say that Rihanna hit you, Why constantly elude to it? He doesn’t come out and say it because it’s not true. If Rihanna hit him on that night the police report would have reflected that and it didn’t. Lastly, people are making a big deal about Rihanna saying that she was embarrased that she fell in love with someone who BEAT her. Who the hell wouldn’t be, he BEAT her. Covergirl stopped running Rhianna’s ads/commercials just short of June 22nd, the date he copped to the charges. And they ONLY began running ‘em on June 23rd, the day AFTER he copped to the Assault!
Covergirl had no idea that he was going to cop to the assault, they thought, just short of June 22nd, that SHE would have to testify!
Covergirl’s actions can ONLY give pause, or ‘ring the alarm!’
Why would they stop running her commercials, if the public’s knowledge was/is based on that “Cell Phone Warrant/Police Record,” which is so damning of/to Chris Brown?
You’d think, her testifying could ONLY reinforce/validate what was said in that Warrant, no? WRONG!!!!
Again, I’ll ask: what could have made Covergirl drop her commercials, temporary as it was, and ONLY, again, re-airing them, AFTER they were sure that she wasn’t going to testify? Because that Cell Phone Warrant/Police Record IS NOT HER STATEMENT — THAT’S WHY!
I’ll say again, on June 21st, TMZ ran an piece saying that SHE had slapped, punched and hit him several times, WHILE HE WAS DRIVING, and it was ONLY after several instances of contact that he retaliated! Rhianna was said, by the LAPD detectives investigating the case, to be the ‘Aggressor and Instigator’ of the violence in that car on Feb 8th.
RHIANNA IS NO VICTIM, it was SHE who bragged, in an interview in 2007, to smashing a bottle upside her brother’s head. It was SHE who spoke of escalating instances of violence in the relationship; violence..?!?! Yes, HERS:
She hit him in Europe; She hit him in Barbados, neither action resulted in him retaliating as he did in THAT car on Feb 8th; but why?
Why didn’t he retaliate, in those two previous instances, that SHE hit him, and retaliated — as he did, on Feb 8th? Because, her actions were ‘more-than’ a slap!
She was a woman scorned, thus enraged, lashed out at him with “everything she had”: Slapping, Punching and Hitting. I have NO DOUBT that she hit him with HIS cell phone.
Just look at the message Rhianna is sending to young women: get jealous, hit your boyfriend, almost cause a vehicle accident; lie about it on National Television. Nine months after the fact, and ONLY weeks before your CD is to be released, you appear on National Television.
You take a scene out of Fatal Attraction and acted Sharon Stone “sans the crossed leg peek!”
Your every answer rehearsed and practiced, all as scripted; nothing left to chance!
But Rhianna, “dropped the ball”, when Diane Sawyer asked her, or should I say, inferred that they were “prior instances of violence.” To which Rhianna said NO, they weren’t. As a matter of a fact, Ms. Sawyer asked her a second time, and to which, Rhianna replied the same: NO!
So much for the theory of CBrown being a “serial woman beater,”
I close by saying: Rhianna’s actions can ONLY have been judged in the context they were made: in a car, with her as passenger and HE as driver. That said, if he’d have lost control and they’d have been involved in an horrific accident with both badly maimed, we’d THEN see just how reckless Rhianna’s actions were!
Given said scenario, if CBrown were to admit to fearing, HIS life, in danger, and acting to protect said life, who would,or could doubt him? NO ONE, that’s who!
In California, isn’t it illegal to text, or use cell phone without a hands free device? Can you imagine just how reckless Rhianna was by attacking him when HE was operating that vehicle?

Anyone with any kind of common sense & no malice on their agenda, would realize that a 4 yr relationship, where both of them have inferred they were “best best friends”, doesn’t just turn a “160″ over a text message. They’ve both said there were no other instances of violence, so there was definitely a smoking gun involved. However, Chris has said, he wants to close that chapter of his life because he has accepted the consequences of his behavior and will never grow if he lingers in his past mistakes. He can only deal with him & his redemption. It seems as tho some of you aren’t listening, hell bent on hating either one of them (esp Chris,) or determined to get some closure out of a situation that does not affect you at all! None of you were there so how can you say what the truth is? You can’t so do like Chris, MOVE ON!
@Elegra J, you were clearly not listening to this interview. Chris said several times, he can only speak for himself & redeem himself. That does not infer that he’s accusing Rihanna of anything. He spoke wisely when he said there’s (3) sides to this story, and since we’ve only heard one, there’s (2) missing sides of this puzzle for which there will be no equation because he & God are the missing sides. He’s not going to air he & Rihanna’s personal business. It serves no purpose but to entertain or to feed peoples hate more.

Big ups Big Boi on this interview w/ CB. He is really showing his growth and change from the situation and I think your questions were really on point with showcasing this. I loved him before and will continue to love. His responses about the Ri were respectful and in keeping with hwta he has always maintained about keeping the actual events private. I’m with him on leaving the matter alone from here on out and instead focusing on supporting him as a artist for the GREAT work that he does. I know that CB will achieve much in his lifetime and I look forward to watching and being a witness to it. PEACE!

I need everyone coming on this post to think about this. On Rihanna’s interview(please watch again if you must) she stated that Chris(someone who has not been physical before) began beating her because she kept inquiring about a text message from another woman. Now ladies what would be your first reaction if the man you have been in love with for over a year recieved a text from another woman in your presence and you recieved no explaination…to go upside his head. So while I am not condoning violence on either side, like he said there are 2 sides to every story. His, hers, and the truth people please keep that in mind. I really feel he is sorry for letting people down and that he is ready to move on like so many others are after hearing this story for almost a full year now! I feel like he is doing great and being a positive role model after the situation (and even before) and should continue to do so. Her I can not so much say the same about. She has been seen half naked walking around the city streets, using very explicit language in music, and has been seen intoxicated walking out of nightclubs. Who is really trying to be positive and turn this around? I’m happy Chris is not speaking on it because I think the people with common sense will respect him in the end. I know I have gained alot for him and lost some for her.

I don’t think that we (the people) don’t want Chris to move on but he’s talking about it, so we comment. This situation has really opened my eye’s with regards to people who coddle bad behaviour. Now I see how people fall in love with killers and rapists, marry them even though their on death row. It’s the same behaviour, just on a different scale. When someone you like or are attracted to does something intolerable, your first instinct is to protect them or give them an excuse. I have heard over these past few months things that have disgusted me to my core. A woman was badly beaten, bitten, left in a bloody gown on the side of the road and then taken to the hospital where she stayed overnight. In all the interviews the perpetrator has made he has never once said, “Rihanna you didn’t deserve what I did to you and i’m sorry I put you through that nightmare.” I have a friend who was raped by a College Football jock, who went to jail for 8 months when he came out, people treated him like he was the victim and his victim was the rapist. It was insane. I couldn’t believe it but that’s what some of us do. For know apparent reason we attack the victims of violent crimes in order to protect the abusers. Make no mistake I hope that Chris can move on with his life and I pray to God that he never does this to another woman ever again. However, if some of you continue to coddle his bad behaviour he won’t change. He will only feel like if I can beat the shit out of Rihanna and still have these bitches fawning over me, guess what I am the shit. Chris put it best, “Girls are always going to be around…I’m Chris Brown…”. The scariest part of this whole situation is that the next time he does this to another woman, she will be anonymous. He’ll beat her and you’ll never know it. Chris doesn’t even see himself as an abuser, abusers never see themselves as abusers, so he won’t change the behaviour because he doesn’t acknowledge it. Chris will grow better at hiding the abuse. Because I would bet money that Feb.8th wasn’t the first time that he was physical with Rihanna. I’m sure that Chris was emotionally abusive and disloyal to her in many ways and on the days where she demanded his respect he would make her feel insecure. It wasn’t that long ago when Neyo mentioned that Chris and Rihanna had a very turbulent relationship. Neyo has written a couple of songs for Rihanna that details the emotional abuse that she suffered with Chris, one of them was written before the incident and it was spot on as if Neyo saw this coming. REAL TALK! Chris I truly pray for you and that you get the “YES” people out of your life. You need truth tellers, not coddlers or excuse makers. It feels good but in the end it will do more damage to your character then good. I don’t need to hear the details about that night because all that matters was the end result. You did something that has turned you into a fellon. Work on yourself brother to the core. Shame the devil and get real with yourself. Focus on the hurt that you caused Rihanna, her family, your family, and friends. In the end, if you truly feel and reflect your empathy, you’ll see nothing but a brighter future ahead.

big ups to big boy for that interview. I noticed you were able to set up a cool and laid back environment for young Chris Breezy to reflect, connect and respond to the questions of his ordeal. You did what you could to dig below the surface and with your 0 to 60 in one night question, it was obvious that there is a lot more to their relationship that we may never know… and big boy always says “as they should” What else do we need to know? We got more scoop on this young and still immature couple than we could ever get from other celebrities. They were put on blast by the media and now we are hooked on their drama. What happened that night is all we need to know and the fact that they broke up should be the closure to their relationship. They moved on and so should we… Who’s next? Jlo and Mark, Jay Z and Be, Rick Ross and Foxy… I put my money none… Everyone should have learned from Chis’s mistakes… Now lets allow him to mature and guide him on a better path as we all would wish if we were caught up in a mess.

The thing(s) I find MOST troubling regarding ‘Feb 8th’:
1.) TMZ violated the most sacred ‘trust’ by seeking, buying and publishing, that picture of her. They did it, NOT out of some ’stand’ on DV or domestic abuse, NO, they did it for ratings and web hits — a ‘better-invested’ $62K you’ll NEVER find!
2.) After a proper “test and sampling” of the ‘political-waters’,TMZ can slander and attack anyone they choose! They can THEN hide behind the facade of the fourth estate, thus remaining untouched! Then again, what can we expect from News Corp, who also owns Fox News!
3.) TMZ said, on June 21st, the day BEFORE he ‘plead-out’, that SHE, RHIANNA, was the Aggressor and Instigator on Feb 8th: she slapped, punched and hit him several times BEFORE he retaliated! But YOU, the American Public, decided to disregard THAT fact, and demonize 19 year old Chris Brown; not, 20 year old, “Aggressor and Instigator,” Rhianna!

She hit her brother, her own next of kin with a bottle and broke it over his head, leaving him bloody and hopitalized for a day, and your not gonna believe she hit chris. She clearly stated she had his back against a wall emotionally by accusing him of cheating on her on the way home from Clive Davis’s pre grammy party. The reason he don’t just come out and say she hit him first is because it will cause a hiatus of people bloggin, thinkg like this.. Oh ok that makes it ok, and when he tells the fans she’s been violent with him before, the fans will still back her because she is Rihanna.. Its stpid but definitely true.. SO instead he tells people he was wrong for what he did, and he can’t account for what she did because she has t odo that herself. Thank you, thank you thank you to XY and Z. You wrote clearly, said it calmly and perfectly to the point; but what a fool believes no wise man can reason away. Haters are beyond hating; they’ve become blinded to humanity and obsessed. No one asked them to forget, but one must possess a “spirit of forgiveness” less we will not be forgiven ourselves. I have forgiven people whos lives has revealed large mistakes, not because I worship them (say Mike Tyson for example) but because each has a God given right to redemtion..and that’s between them, God and the victim. Rihanna has forgiven him so why can’t the haters..because they would have to look at life through their own unforgiven souless eyes peering back at them in the mirror.

I feel sorry for you women who accept NOTHING from your men. I understand now why Chris felt that he could do what he did to Rihanna. No matter what he did, you would still love him. It’s really pathetic. I can’t believe that you wouldn’t demand more from him. Gillian I am by no means saying Chris was correct for his actions (or anything after the incident) and I agree he should have walked away, no one should put their hands on anyone. Would that have helped? Probably not b/c I believe she would have still came after him for an explaination but that is another story. What I am saying though is that he actually learned something and is applying himself, and that rihanna is bullshitting and you said yourself that you don’t like that so you should understand first hand what I mean. No man that has never hit a woman before is just going to go off and hit a woman for asking about a text, that is a ridiculous senerio. And if you chose to belive it then please do so by all means. My thing is if you are going to tell the story tell the whole story b/c the story that was told was so far make no damn sense at all. I know a bullshit story when I hear one. If she is such a victim and trying to help other domestic violence victims why didn’t she speak up in Oct when it was DV awareness month instead of 2 weeks before her album dropped, and why didn’t she tell the whole story? I haven’t seen her speaking at any events like Chris has or going to therapy for that matter. All I see her doing is getting drunk and clubbing scantly clad. So it’s okay if you are going to have fun they are 20 and 21, but you should also be trying to help other’s that may be in similar situations, and yourself as well, outside of your personal gain. I agree with the person who said if it wasnt for public scrutiny Chris and Rhianna would still be together…..
Coming from someone who has been in an abusive relationship and married the man and BTW am still married something is not right with her story.
My husband is no longer abusive, he went to counseling and we worked it out.
I went through a similar situation with him when I caught him cheating and I promise you that something does not add up. But It doesnt matter anymore it is over and I am so GLAD to see him making music again and doing what he loves. I still support him and will continue to do so…
