Future recently mourned the passing of longtime friend Young Scooter in a heartfelt tribute highlighting an unforgettable moment he shared with the Atlanta rapper.
The "Mask Off" hitmaker shouted out his "brother" in a video posted to Instagram on Wednesday (April 2), zooming in on the time they spent by each other's side before the tragic incident.
"Life will never b the same without u my brother… this s*** unreal," Future captioned the clip. HipHopDX mentioned that the rappers were such good friends that Future once gifted the "Jugg King" artist $200,000 for his birthday.
Young Scooter, born Kenneth Bailey, passed away on Friday (March 28) due to a leg injury obtained while trying to flee the police. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead on his 39th birthday. Future, who collaborated with the rapper on "Hard To Handle" and "Jet Lag" with Juice WRLD, to name only a few tracks, is not the only friend of Young Scooter's to mourn his death.
Quavo, Playboi Carti, and Bun B have all paid their respects to the standout within the last week. His son, Kenneth Bailey Jr., broke silence on his father's passing on Sunday (March 30), remarking on how "crushed" he was aside photos of them in the studio together.
"You crushed everything in me that’s all to it☹️💔😔😿Never gone heal I’ll deal wit it tho🥺."
