Beanie Sigel is one step closer to debuting new music with his original voice for the first time in over a decade — thanks to artificial intelligence.

On Saturday, January 11, footage surfaced that shows Beans listening to a fresh, unreleased song with his original voice. The caption on top of the video says "A.I. Project coming soon...." which serves as a positive update for the Philly native's upcoming seventh album. Beanie Sigel first announced his plans to use A.I. to make his first full-length LP in nearly 13 years during an interview in 2023.

“A lot of people frown on AI, but I think that’s gonna work for me," Sigel told DJUTV. "I’ve had a colorful life, so I’ve been through things that hindered my [voice].”

“I was talking to somebody and they told me how you program the AI—you run the vocals through this," he continued. “Y’all want, what they say, the ‘old Beans’ back? ‘Cause the pen’s still there. It’s just the voice. If y’all want that, I’ma shoot y’all something. So I’m gonna use A.I. on myself.”

The last time Beanie Sigel dropped a solo album was when he delivered his album This Time in 2012. Two years later, the State Property rapper was injured during a drive-by shooting outside of his home in Pleasantville, N.J. He suffered from two gunshots in his back, which caused one of his lungs to collapse. Sigel told DJ Vlad that he had a piece of his lung removed, but his vocal cords were damaged while he was waking up from a coma.

"When I was coming out of it, I had a breathing tube down my throat," he said. "So when I first woke out the coma, I didn’t know where I was at and I pulled the breathing tube out and so it tore up s**t in my throat.”

As of this report, there's no release date for Beanie Sigel's upcoming album.
