Trae Tha Truth shares a brand-new song in which he vents about the rollercoaster of emotions he's been experiencing since his child went missing.
In "Letter To Truth Pt. 2," the Texas native raps about his ongoing search for his six-year-old daughter Truth. She was recently placed on a missing child's list after Trae claimed her mother abducted her four months ago.
"I been waiting on the call, I hope I don't miss you/Everyday I been looking for you," he raps on the song. "Houston been looking for you, Granny been looking for you, Nico been looking for you, everybody been looking for you.
Trae Tha Truth first revealed his daughter was missing earlier this month in an emotional Instagram post. In it, he explained how he became Truth's primary parent after he won custody of his daughter at the beginning of 2024. Trae allowed Truth to spend the summer with her mom, however, things started to go left after his daughter's first visitation with her mom in Houston. He said he dropped off Truth with her mom on Friday, August 16, for a two-day visit. Truth was supposed to return on Sunday, August 18 by 8 p.m., but she never made it home.
According to Trae, Truth's mother allegedly filed false charges against him in cities like Los Angeles and others. She reportedly claimed he abused her, sexually assaulted her, and threatened their daughter with a gun. He said he was able to prove the allegations were false and got a judge to sign a court order demanding Truth's mother to bring her back to him, but she refused. She allegedly moved to other cities in order to hide his child with help from her family members.
"My baby never made it to her first day of school with me," Trae said. "Her mother tried to sneak and enroll her in school in LA, but once the judge reprimanded her Truth never went back to school. The truancy people have been contacting me. Her mom abandoned her apartment and now my child is living pillow to post from spot to spot. A private investigator I hired found Truth's mother and grandmother moving my baby late at night trying to hide her."
