Actress Bridgette Moynahan, the ex-girlfriend of seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady, shared a cryptic post on social media hours after their relationship was referenced in the Netflix live roast of her ex-boyfriend.

Moynahan shared the quote, "Loyal people take s–t more personal because they never would’ve did that s–t to you,” along with the caption, "So true," in an Instagram post Monday (May 6).

Brady, 46, who shares his oldest son, Jack, with Moynahan, was jabbed for breaking up with the former model turned actress when she was pregnant. The couple's December 2006 split was referenced by comedian Nikki Glaser who joked about Brady's extended NFL career and multiple retirement announcements.

“Tom, you’re the best to ever play for too long, you retired then came back then retired, I get it. It’s hard to walk away from something that isn’t your pregnant girlfriend,” Glaser said. “To be fair, he didn’t know. He just thought she was getting fat.”

Moynahan and Brady have publicly seemed to be on good terms with the actress congratulating him on his last Super Bowl victory in 2021, as well as the former quarterback praising her, his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen, his mother, Galynn, and his sisters, Maureen, Nancy and Julie, in a lengthy Mother's Day post last year. Moynahan had, however, previously spoken candidly about the breakup while addressing it for the first time publicly in a July 2008 issue of Harper's Bazaar.

“I’m not sure anyone — and I could be wrong in this — grows up thinking, ‘I want to be a single mom,’” Moynahan said at the time. “When you’re suddenly pregnant and no one is standing by your side, even if you’re in your 30s, it’s a hard conversation. I’m a traditional girl, and I believe in marriage, and I just always thought that’s the way I’d be doing this. For a moment, it was hard for me to accept that this was the way I was going to have a family.”

The 3-hour long roast covered several other controversial topics including Brady's divorce from Bündchen and her new relationship with her jiu-jitsu trainer Joaquim Valente, his $30 million losses in Crypto.com, the Patriots' alleged involvement in the Spygate and Deflategate controversies, and the retired quarterback's relationship with longtime head coach Bill Belichick, who also participated in the event.
