BIG BOY

Big Boy grew up in Los Angeles, California and is the second youngest of seven children. After college, he got his break in radio at L.A.'s Power 106.

Big Boy has dominated the ratings in all the time slots he's occupied — mornings, nights and afternoons. His #1 rated morning show has led the industry to recognize him as 'Personality of the Year'—Four times from the Radio Music Awards, eight times from Radio and Records magazine.

The National Association of Broadcasters recognized his exceptional talents by presenting him with the Marconi Award—the 'Oscars of Radio'—a VERY rare three times. He humbly celebrated those awards in 2002, 2004 and 2007.

Big is no stranger to the camera as he has made cameos in movies like Adam Sandler's The Longest Yard, Charlie's Angels 2, and co-starred in Deuce Bigelow: Male Gigolo. He's recently been featured on several television shows – Entourage, Flavor of Love and Keeping up with the Kardashians. News outlets like Fox, CBS, and NPR turn to his commentary as their first choice of authority as the public voice of Hip Hop in Los Angeles.

His voice was tapped as the announcer for The George Lopez Show and most recently the X-Factor.

His latest push for 2012 is his book "An XL Life: Staying Big at Half the Size". It's a reflection of his life when he was a morbidly obese 500 pounds.

In the fall of 2003, Big Boy had the duodenal switch stomach surgery and over the next year lost over 250 pounds. His billboards all over America show the new and thinner Big Boy. The effect is so dramatic that listeners still can't believe the photos are real!
