As the follow-up to his successful projects Thank You And Your Welcome and Glow in the Dark book, Kanye is making another literary effort. This time Kanye is joining forces with Academy-nominated, famed illustrator Bill Plympton. The book is a graphically illustrated memior of major, life changing events in Kanye’s life. Lyrics from 12 of his most influential songs will be featured and spread out through the books content. Conjoined with illustration Plympton and Kanye help explain the pivotal references behind each song.

‘We Were Once a Fairytale,’ a short film directed by Spike Jonze and starring Kanye West, was released today.

According to The Playlist, the feature was supposed to be released on Sept. 8, but that did not come to fruition. (And you can’t blame the VMA incident, as that occurred on Sept. 13.)

Regardless, the movie shows Kanye doing what he does best — being a jerk. It starts off as he drunkenly walks around a club while one of his songs plays in the background, asking everyone if they like the tune. Warning Explicit
Later the scene changes, and Kanye ends up with a woman, only to wake up to find out she was really the couch.

The movie spirals out of control from there, as the singer vomits paper and curls up on the bathroom floor. And at the end, what can only be described as a demonic monkey pops up to torment the ‘Heartless’ hitmaker.

Oh, shoot. Kanye West’s plans for his clothing line fell through. This devastating news comes, oddly enough,right after pictures from the line’s lookbook were leaked online yesterday. Even though Kanye has been sporting fashions from his label to award shows, promoting it in his song “Stronger” (”Specially in my Pastelle or my Bape shit”), and teaming up with designers like Ksubi and Louis Vuitton, he is apparently ditching the label. This also comes after his tragic VMA debacle with Taylor Swift, as well as his cancelled tour with Lady GaGa. Maybe Kanye is being smart by taking a break from fashion world. Associated Press: T.I. didn’t need to attend the BET Hip-Hop Awards to win two trophies on Saturday.
The rapper, who is locked up in an Arkansas penitentiary on a federal weapons conviction, won the best collaboration award with Rhianna for the song “Live Your Life” and the album of the year award for “Paper Trail.” His fiancee Tameka “Tiny” Cottle accepted his awards at the ceremony in Atlanta and read a letter by the rapper, who began serving a yearlong sentence in late May.

“Although I’m not there with you all, I’m there in spirit,” Cottle quoted the rapper as writing. “My road to redemption is almost over. … Thanks for the support.”

NEW YORK (AP) — Lady Gaga isn’t letting her ill-fated tour with Kanye West keep her from her fans.

A day after her joint tour with the rapper was canceled, the pop star said she’ll be hitting the road solo.

The West and Lady Gaga tour was supposed to kick off Nov. 10 in Phoenix.

Lady Gaga said the two “mutually decided to cancel the tour.” She says that West is “going to take some time off, but I’m not.”

Gaga says her tour will start in mid-November.

Gaga made the comments before accepting the “Rising Star” honor at Billboard’s annual Women in Music event Friday. Beyonce was honored as “Woman of the Year.

via mtv Kanye West and Lady Gaga’s co-headlining Fame Kills Tour has been canceled, according to a press release from tour promoter Live Nation. No reason was given for the cancellation. The press release stated that refunds are available at the point of purchase, and that tickets purchased online and via phone will be refunded automatically.
